FILMMAKER

Is a visual artist, filmmaker Director, writer, cinematographer. Abdulrahman grew

up in an artistic family in Baghdad. Graduate from the fine arts institute cinema dePartment 2015 and graduated from the college of fine arts university of Baghdad  2019.

He studied filmmaking in four workshops for directing, writing, cinematography and

lighting worked in several future -lengths films such as “the journey” By Mohamed Al Darraji and “Haifa Street” By Mohanad Hayal as a camera assistant and Stills photographer. And other future films. 

Most of his work as an Assistant Director Co-writer and Cinematography in 7 Short films in Iraq. Many of these films had nominated and screened in the leading international film festivals such as Berlin

international film festival, Toronto International film festival, Busan International film festival, Cannes Film Festival, Venice international film festival, Malmo Arab film Festival, and some of these films were the The official Choice of the Iraqi Ministry of Culture to nominate a film from Iraq in the Academy Awards.

Abdul Rahman participated in many art exhibitions in Iraq, Europe.

Abdulrahman’s works focuses on human rights and the issues in Iraq in the effect of

war that happened in Iraq after 2003.
